Bio

Coach Carrillo has one year under his belt at Glendale Community College. The Gauchos finished with a

21-10 record, good enough to win the Division 2, Region 1 Championship and advance to the National

Championship. COVID-19 prevented the National Tournament from taking place. It was the second

school Coach Carrillo has taken to the Junior College National Tournament. In 1993 the Jamestown

Community College Jayhawks in Jamestown, N.Y. won a Region 3 title.

In between those years Coach Carrillo has spent time at the NCAA Division 1 level. Director of Basketball

Operations at Oregon State University. As well as full time assistant at Northern Arizona University and

Southern Utah University. Coach Carrillo has also spent time as a NCAA Division 2 Head Coach at St.

Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, IN.

Prior to becoming the Head Coach at Glendale Community College Coach Carrillo was involved in youth

basketball in the Phoenix area. Under the leadership of Matt Gordon, Coach Carrillo helped grow and

develop Arcadia Youth Basketball Academy.
