Former Glendale Community College track and field athlete Leila Barmore had a stellar first year at Michigan State University. Barmore, a 2024 graduate, is currently studying psychology.

Barmore's time at GCC was filled with many accomplishments, including being named the 2023 NJCAA Outdoor National Champion in triple jump. Barmore was a 4-time NJCAA All-American, 2-time ACCAC Region 1 Field Athlete of the Year, and a 2-time NJCAA Academic All-American. She holds 8 different records for Glendale Community College track and field, and was named the 2024 co-female athlete of the year.
