Coach Patricio Rosas joins Glendale Community College as the Assistant Men’s & Women’s Soccer Coach, bringing a wealth of experience in coaching at various levels. Before coming to Glendale, Coach Rosas contributed to a highly successful 2024 season at Scottsdale Community College, where he assisted in coaching both the men’s and women’s teams.
At Scottsdale, Coach Rosas was part of the coaching staff that helped lead the women’s team to an outstanding season, achieving a national ranking as high as #6 in the NJCAA DII and qualifying for nationals for the first time since 2011. The team finished with a 12-2 conference record and 12-5-1 overall. The men’s team also enjoyed historic success, securing a winning record (8-7-1) and advancing to the conference semifinals for the first time since 2009. Throughout this time, Coach Rosas worked closely with Coach Tom Hurdle, the 2024 ACCAC Men’s and Women’s Coach of the Year, and coached a NJCAA First Team All-American and multiple ACCAC All-Conference players.
Coach Rosas has also gained valuable experience coaching in the NAIA and the NCAA, at schools like McPherson College, where he served as Assistant Coach for the men's soccer program, and Ottawa University in Kansas. At Ottawa University, Coach Rosas contributed to the success of the women’s soccer program, which achieved back-to-back NAIA national tournament appearances in 2017 and 2018. During this time, the women’s team posted a 17-4-1 record in 2017 and a 15-5-1 record in 2018, while also coaching multiple All-American and All-Conference players. He also helped lead the men’s program to back-to-back winning seasons, with records of 9-8-2 in 2017 and 10-8-1 in 2018. Furthermore, at Angelo State University, Coach Rosas worked with the women’s soccer team, contributing to a strong 11-7-2 record and coaching several All-Region and All-State players.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Coach Rosas currently serves as the Head Coach for U14 girls at Phoenix Rising Desert Foothills, where he is dedicated to building a competitive team culture and fostering player development.
Coach Rosas is deeply committed to helping athletes succeed both on and off the field. His coaching philosophy values both relationships and results, and centers on developing strong team dynamics, a positive and supportive environment, and ultimately a memorable experience for his players.
Coach Rosas holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Grand Canyon University, where he graduated summa cum laude, and a Master of Business Administration in Leadership Development from Ottawa University. His coaching certifications include the U.S. Soccer Federation National D License, United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Diplomas, and most recently, a Football Association of Wales/UEFA C Coaching Certificate.
