The GCC Gauchos women's basketball team earned an important win in their attempt to reach the post-season. Led by Soph. Keyla Cervantes' 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals - the Gauchos secured a much needed 48-43 win over crosstown conference foe CGCC.

After being down by 3 points at halftime, the Gauchos' defense stepped up - holding the Coyotes to just 9 points in the 3rd quarter. Soph. Stasia Duque had another good performance on both ends, scoring 13 points, along with 2 steals and 2 blocks.

The Coyotes didn't go away and were within one possession late in the 4th quarter. Clutch free throws by Cervantes and Frosh. Dalaiha Madden sealed the deal for the home team. RSFr. Steffy Cervantes also had a big impact across the stat sheet with 6 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.

The Gauchos travel to Scottsdale on 2/1/25 to face the #24 ranked Fighting Artichokes at 2pm.
