GLENDALE, Ariz. - Glendale Community College softball pitcher Priscilla Armendariz was named ACCAC D2 Pitcher of the Week for week 2.

Armendariz, a sophomore from Cesar Chavez high school, threw 8 scoreless innings against Mesa Community College on Saturday, January 31st. Armendariz struck out 7 of the 27 batters she faced and only gave up two hits for the contest with one walk. The Gauchos won the game 2-0 with Armendariz also going 1-for-4 with an RBI at the plate for the contest.

Armendariz and the Glendale Community College softball team return to action and continue conference play this Saturday with a double-header against Pima Community College. First pitch for game one is scheduled for 12 P.M.
