The Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed in the NJCAA Region I Championship on Friday, October 25th. The Gauchos competed hard and had a couple of outstanding efforts.

In the Women's race, Nicole Navaro, formally of Mountain Ridge High School, had a good race, establishing her position early and holding on to finish 12th overall. This allowed Nicole to advance to the National Championship! Taylor James also ran well for the Lady Gauchos.

In the Men's race, Kade Ruff had an outstanding run, steadily working his way up to 8th position in the race, and ultimately finishing in 10th place. This allowed Kade to qualify for the National Championship! Alex Yowell and Mariano Ortega-Vazquez also ran well for the Gaucho men.

Congratulations to both Kade and Nicole! Cross Country Nationals will be in Richmond, Virginia on Saturday, November 9th. Go Gauchos!!
