The Glendale Community College men's basketball program alumni have featured well this season, with numerous former players playing at various levels throughout the country and the world. Below are updates on former Gauchos playing at the next level.
Adam Hamilton
2019-20/2021-22
AGE Chalkidas, Greece Elite League
A 2022 NJCAA All-American, and member of the 2019-2020 NJCAA Region 1 champion team, Adam Hamilton has had a stellar rookie season for AGE Chalkidas in Greece's Elite League. Since joining the club mid-season, Hamilton has made a tremendous impact on both ends of the floor. In Hamilton's 9 games with the club, the team is 7-2 and averaging 85 points per game. Hamilton is averaging 9.4 points per game, 7.3 rebounds per game, and 1.3 blocks per game. AGE is currently tied for 4th place with an overall record of 10-6. Hamilton signed with Lamar University out of GCC and averaged 10.1 points and 6.7 rebounds in 3 seasons with the Cardinals.
Cassius Carmichael
2019-20
Fort Lewis University, NCAA Division II, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference
Another member of the NJCAA Region 1 championship team, Cassius Carmichael has helped the Skyhawks to a 10-5 record, and a perfect 8-0 in RMAC play so far this year. Carmichael, a one year member of the Gauchos, was named the RMAC Defensive player of the week twice during his junior season. Through 15 games this year, Carmichael is averaging just under 27 minutes a contest while shooting nearly 55% from the field and averaging over 5 rebounds a game.
Eric Blackwell
2021-2023
Benedictine University Mesa, NAIA, Great Southwest Athletic Conference
Originally signing with Menlo College out of GCC, Eric Blackwell transferred to Benedictine University Mesa prior to this season and has played a big role in the Redhawks hot start. The nationally ranked Redhawks are off to their best start in program history at 19-1, with Blackwell currently averaging 10.1 points per game along with 4.2 rebounds per game. Blackwell was recently named the GSAC Defensive Player of the Week after Benedictine Mesa grabbed 2 wins against Life Pacific and Ottawa University Arizona.
Cameron Coraggio
2022-2024
Hastings College, NAIA, Great Plains Athletic Conference
Cameron Coraggio is in his second season at Hastings College. In his first season with the program, Coraggio shot over 40% from both the field and from beyond the arc. Through 17 games played this season, Coraggio has started 9 games and has made at least 1 3-point field goal in 6 games. During his sophomore year with the Gauchos, Coraggio was 3rd-Team All-ACCAC for division 2 programs.
Jordan Kuac
2024-2025
Western Colorado University, NCAA Division II, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference
A 2025 NJCAA All-American honorable mention and 1st Team All-ACCAC D2, Jordan Kuac is in his first season at Western Colorado. Through 16 games this season, Kuac is averaging 10.4 points per game along with 5.1 rebounds in just under 30 minutes a game. Kuac, a one year member of the Gauchos, led the ACCAC in scoring his lone season while scoring in double-figures in every game during the 2024-25 campaign.
Davis Hester
2023-2025
Willamette University, NCAA Division III, Northwest Conference
Davis Hester is in his first season with Willamette University. Hester, a 2nd Team All-ACCAC selection in his sophomore season with the Gauchos, is currently averaging 8.6 points per game while shooting 41.3% from the field, and 39.3% from beyond the arc. Hester was named the 2025 Glendale Community College athletic department male scholar-athlete of the year, finishing with a 3.9 GPA and a member of the student advisory athletic council. He graduated with his A.A. in Psychology.
Chase Pavey
2023-2025
Nelson University Arizona, NCCAA, Southwestern States Conference
Chase Pavey is in his first year with the Nelson University Arizona men's basketball program. Through 20 games this season, Pavey is averaging 5.5 points per game and with his season high 17 points coming in a victory over California Intercontinental University. Pavey averaged 10.4 points per game during his sophomore season with the Gauchos and made 73 3-point field goals during his two seasons, shooting over 40% from beyond the arc during that time period. He graduated with his A.A. in Business.
