GLENDALE, Ariz. - Glendale Community College men's basketball picked up their first win in 2026 Wednesday night, defeating Chandler-Gilbert Community College, 81-79. The win moves the Gauchos to 12-4 on the season, 3-2 in ACCAC play.
Stephan Miller led the charge for the Gauchos, finishing with 22 points and 11 rebounds on 8-of-15 from the field. Miller, a freshman from Liberty high school, also had 1 block, 1 steal, and 1 assist in the contest. Kenny White (St. Mary's) had 19 points, 5 assists, and 2 rebounds for the game. Malaki Garnica (Brophy) had 16 points and was 7-of-10 from the field. The Gauchos trailed 33-42 at the break, but used a 17-5 run to start the second half and push into the lead. GCC shot 49.2% from the field, and had 14 assists on 32 made field goals.
The Gauchos return to action on Saturday, January 10th, when they travel to Scottsdale Community College. The Artichokes are 9-7 on the season, 3-2 in conference play. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 P.M.
