GLENDALE, Ariz. - Glendale Community College men's basketball used a 19-9 run over the final 7 minutes to come away victorious Wednesday night, defeating Mesa Community College 79-73. With the win, the Gauchos move to 10-2 overall, 2-1 in ACCAC play.
Kenny White (St. Mary's) led the Gauchos in scoring, finishing with 32 points on 13-of-26 from the field, and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Kai Hogan (Brophy) came off the bench and ended with 13 points in 17 minutes. Hogan was 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Ty Gibbs (Shadow Ridge) played a team high 36 minutes and flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 12 points on 50% from the field, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds. Stephan Miller (Liberty) had his second consecutive double-double, finishing with 10 points and 13 rebounds. The Gauchos shot 43.1% from the field, 42.1 percent from 3-point range, and had 16 assists on 31 made field goals.
Glendale Community College men's basketball will be back in action on Saturday, December 13th, when they travel to Tucson to face 10th ranked Pima Community College. Tip-off for the game against the Aztecs is scheduled for 4 P.M.
