Glendale Community College men's basketball forward Stephan Miller was named the co-ACCAC D2 men's basketball player of the week for week 5. The Gauchos defeated Phoenix College 86-79 in their lone game for the week.

Miller, a freshman from Liberty high school, finished the game with 27 points and 9 rebounds while shooting 10-of-20 from the field and a perfect 7-of-7 from the foul line. Through his 9 games played, Miller is averaging 19.8 points per game, 7.2 rebounds per game, and shooting 55.7% from the field. He has scored in double-figures in 8 out of the 9 contests, and has had at least 5 rebounds in 8 of his 9 games played.

Miller and the Gauchos continue conference play tonight, December 3rd, when they host South Mountain Community College. Tip-off for the contest is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
