Brad Fields was named the 4th ever Head Coach at Glendale Community College in August of 2018 and will begin his fourth season for the Gauchos in 2020-21. In his 3 seasons Coach Fields has had more then 8 D1 Track & Field “Academic” All Americans, while also having 6 “Athletic” All Americans as well. He has grown both the woman’s and men’s teams respectively in size and in the classroom. 

Prior to GCC, Fields spent four seasons as an assistant sprint/relay coach for Liberty High School (Peoria, AZ) where he helped produce over 26 School Records, 6 PUSD District Team Champions while capturing 5 Individual State Champions and 1 State Relay (4x1) Title as well. Notable All State names like; Deyton Jackson (2016 Marshall University), Tiffany Riley (2015 UofA), Shaunise Tremble (GCU), LaShira Tremble (2016 NM State University), Christine Williford (2016 TCU transfer ASU) and Asiah Fields (2018 TCU) all contributed on the track and truly reaped the benefits. 

Fields ran at Michigan State from 1992-97 and  was Coached by USATF, Michigan State and Eastern Michigan Hall of Fame Coach James “Jim” Bibbs. During his time at MSU Coach Fields won 2 Big 10 Conference Titles, voted to the All Big Team and was a 4 time All American with times clocking as fast as 10.12 for 100m and 20.41 for 200m. 

A native of Kentwood, Michigan, Coach Fields was All State and State Champion in the 100m and 200m with memorable State “Class A” races in the early 90’s for East Kentwood High School. 

Fields graduated from MSU with a bachelor’s degree in Inner Disciplinary Humanities (1997). 

Fields is married to his College Sweetheart Ayanna where they have been married for 21 years. The couple has two daughters (Asiah and Indiah) and two sons (Isaiah and Nehemiah). Fields enjoys family time and helping others as well.
